JOB SUMMARY: The Digital Press Operator prints digital signs and banners to meet company expectations. Operates digital presses, and makes adjustments for material, quality, and finishing as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This position is primarily, yet not exclusively responsible for the following:
Starting up, shutting down, and performing preventative maintenance on digital presses
Basic repair of digital presses
RIPing files for print
Loading or unloading various media
QC printed pieces for discrepancies between job order and artwork, throughout the run
Completing documentation of time, material and quality control
Seeing complete jobs to the next level of production
General housekeeping of press, tables and work area and compliance to 6S
Checking color using Pantone matching system or other standards
Handling material in a manner that protects from damage (wrinkles, tears, creases etc.)
Using all cutting equipment safely and store utensils in a locked/closed position when not in use
Following all company safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as per company standards.
Adhering to all productivity, SOP’s, Safety and 6S requirements
Performing and completing all tasks assigned

Normal Office setting: This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and other normal office equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to fumes, hazardous chemicals, and heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Production Area setting: This position is required to work in clean, quick paced, and high efficiency manufacturing environment facility. While performing the duties of this job, the employee maybe required to work near moving mechanical parts at machine pace completing a variety of tasks as needed requiring extended periods of standing and lifting loads no greater than 50 pounds.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. When and where necessary Personal Protection Equipment (PEP) is provided.
Position is required to establish standard/rate as set for the particular process being performed.
Office and Production Area setting: This position will spend time between both the office and production settings.
