About the role
Within the global Digital Manufacturing & Supply organization the Plant Connectivity team is responsible for all solutions needed to capture data from manufacturing equipment to automatically feed IT enterprise solutions and enable a broad set of advanced analytics capabilities across operations.
Main scenarios that build on Plant Connectivity are equipment performance optimization, Manufacturing Execution Systems, equipment predictive maintenance, Energy monitoring or production process yield optimization.
Sophistication of solutions range from basic visualization to cutting-edge AI.
The team is mainly located in France but works with manufacturing plants and labs across the globe.
As a Digital Manufacturing & Supply Solution Expert you will have the opportunity to work on two assignments based in two separate locations: first year in Cambridge (USA) and the second year in Toronto (Canada).
Main responsibilities as Digital Manufacturing & Supply Solution Expert:
  • Work with the engineering & digital teams in the two plants in order to ease plant connectivity deployment, upskill local teams, resolve potential issues and drive positive operational outcomes from equipment connectivity
  • Collaborate with other digital teams in order to create solutions to potential issues (e.g. Cybersecurity, networking, equipment connectivity)
  • Contribute within an agile team to design and build the Plant Connectivity solution in close collaboration with your users in the plants
  • Become an expert user of the digital solution and develop deep skills on equipment connectivity & data analytics in this space.
  • Capture users' feedback to decide with functional and technical product owners on the new functionalities for following releases of the digital solutions

About You:
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Electronics or related fields
  • Demonstrated "get-things-done" mindset
  • Problem-solver with ability to find creative ways to overcome roadblocks and keep the wheels running
  • Ability to work in cross-cultural environments
  • Ability to break down complex topics, without prior domain knowledge
  • Comfortable working with cross-functional teams consisting of a different mix of stakeholders, including business leaders, engineers, manufacturing scientists, data scientists, IT specialists, and business analysts, through an adaptive communication style
  • Experience within development and manufacturing industries and ideally biopharma would be a plus

Technical skills:
  • Familiarity with industrial equipment, communications protocols (e.g. OPC UA) or industrial networking environments
  • Familiarity with SAP Pco and SAP MII technologies is a plus
  • Experience in working with industrial time series data analytics is a plus
  • Experience with GxP and Agile Software implementation is a plus
  • Fluent English is mandatory
  • Proficient in French and German is a plus

*Note: this role is a VIE opportunity and is only available to European citizens due to external regulations.
Target start date: April/May 2024.
