Job Description
- Provide holistic, hands-on, and remote IT support for approximately dozens of Conference Rooms 4-5 worksites and office locations.
- Provide holistic, hands-on, and remote IT support for Conference Rooms with a range of technology configurations.
- Develop and apply subject matter expertise in enterprise-grade teleconferencing hardware from brands such as Logitech, Cisco, Panasonic, Samsung, and Avaya.
- Develop and apply subject matter expertise in enterprise-grade teleconferencing software, particularly Microsoft Teams.
- Work within Active Directory to identify relevant hardware while designing, configuring, and troubleshooting Conference Room IT issues.
- Use tools such as Microsoft Intune to remotely monitor, troubleshoot, and configure Conference Rooms.
- Use tools such as Microsoft Intune and Visio to diagram configurations of Conference Room hardware. Design, deploy, and configure technology in new Conference Rooms. Publish and maintain support documentation.
- Provide hands-on IT support and troubleshooting for issues affecting Conference Rooms and teleconferencing technology. Provide remote support and direct the work of field technicians performing hands-on troubleshooting.
- Apply a broad range of IT skills and experience to troubleshoot hardware and software issues ranging including, but not limited to:
- Expired or invalid hardware certificates
- Faulty Hardware or Faulty Cables
- Invalid Network or Application Credentials
- Configuration Issues in Active Directory
- Partner with other departments of IT to troubleshoot teleconferencing issues related to networking, cybersecurity, and End-User Support.
- Travel to Chicago, IL on a quarterly basis to deploy, configure, test and support teleconferencing technologies used during quarterly board meetings. Travel to Chicago on an as-needed basis to address high-level issues that cannot be resolved by a vendor or an onsite field technician.
- Monitor our portfolio of hardware, industry trends, and changes in our IT infrastructure environment to ensure reliable service. Participate in the procurement of new hardware, the deployment of new software, and strategic conversations about IT infrastructure affecting Conference Room Technologies.
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience.
- A minimum of 6+ years’ experience providing Conference Room or end-user workstation support.
- Subject matter expertise with enterprise-grade teleconference software at an administrator-level (Microsoft Teams STRONGLY PREFERRED).
- A customer-service approach to providing IT Support.
- Experience providing hands-on and remote hardware troubleshooting experience, including providing live troubleshooting support to field technicians.
- Experience with general IT configuration, management, and diagraming technologies such as: Active Directory, Microsoft Intune, Visio, and other similar technologies.
- Experience designing and configuring conference and meeting rooms with technologies ranging from simple phone setups to complex systems involving multiple monitors, microphones, and cameras.
- Excellent communication and listening skills to translate business needs into technical requirements and solutions.
- Diagnosing technical issues and quickly, developing multiple possible solutions that can be tested and implemented quickly, to ensure a prompt resumption of service.
- Applying a variety of IT skills to resolving hardware and software issues.
- Communicating with technical and non-technical partners within the business, both to capture business requirements and to develop and implement technical solutions.
