JOB SUMMARY
The IT Application Developer Intern will enhance business capability by providing day-to-day of Manufacturing systems, as well as take ownership of specific projects designed to develop the intern and grow their technology skillset. This role will work with other Digital Technology team members and business team members in the functional areas of Manufacturing to effectively solve issues and assist in building new application solutions. A successful candidate for this role will be comfortable working in both an office environment and with team members directly on the Shopfloor.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.
  • Assist in designing, running, and monitoring software performance tests on new and existing programs for the purposes of correcting errors, isolating areas for improvement, and general debugging.
  • Assist in translating functional specs into technical specs.
  • Assist with identifying and troubleshooting technical issues.
  • Perform testing and implementation of projects with direction and assistance.
  • Provide technical support, advise help desk on issue statuses and resolutions. Maintain incidents and problems within ServiceNow, and communicate status of work and escalate issues to team members in a timely fashion.
  • Propose software designs based on software design principals and functional specifications.
  • Complete documentation, perform testing and the implementation of projects under the direction and assistance from others.
  • Learn, understand and practice Oshkosh project methodology.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Student pursuing an Associates or Bachelors degree in Business, Information Technology, or related area for entire duration of internship.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• GPA of 3.0 or greater.
• Willing to work part-time year-round
• Knowledge of Windows desktop operating systems, Windows Active Directory, Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
• Ability to work under minimal supervision.
