General Description:
The Houston Rockets are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Digital Product and Data Specialist to join our Innovation and Intelligence team. This role will be responsible for data operations and digital product development to support the Houston Rockets' business objectives. Project Management skills, effective time management and mental acuity in dynamic situations are desired. Additionally, this position will work with a wide range of internal and external departments and vendors where timely, accurate communication and constructive collaboration are required.
RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:
  • Manage data and application platforms to ensure proper configuration, data quality, data coverage and successful downstream integration.
  • Develop and administer content and messaging campaigns for digital platforms such as mobile app, social media and email marketing.
  • Work collaboratively with sales and marketing stakeholders to carry out successful marketing operations.
  • Support Houston Rockets engineers, CRM and business analysts in developing and executing successful marketing campaigns.
  • Develop and implement data strategies to improve data quality and Data coverage for marketing campaigns.
  • Ensure that data is properly collected, analyzed, and used to drive business decisions.
  • Support the Houston Rockets in identifying new opportunities for digital product development and growth.
  • Continuously monitor and analyze data to identify trends and insights that can be used to optimize marketing strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of marketing campaigns and initiatives.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in data management, digital marketing, and product development.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Skills and Functionalities
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, computer science, statistics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in data operations, digital marketing, or product development.
  • Strong understanding of data management best practices, including data quality, data governance, and Data integration.
  • Experience with data platforms such as Salesforce, Google Analytics, Tableau, Formstack or other cloud-based marketing applications.
  • Experience working with structured and semi-structured data such in SQL, CSV, XML and JSON formats.
  • Familiarity with mobile app development and digital product development processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn data insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and collaborating with stakeholders across different departments.
  • Experience with software development is preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to accurately estimate and communicate project requirements.
  • Ability to work multiple nights and weekends.

PHYSICAL & MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, use handle or feel, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk and hear.
  • The vision requirement includes close vision and ability to adjust focus.
  • Nature of position requires mobility and the ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds.
  • Must have ability to adjust to changing work hours and locations as needed.
