The Digital Print Operator will be responsible for the printing and finishing of carriers, PINs, inserts, and other documents used in the fulfillment of orders for the Service Bureau. The Digital Print Operator will run the two Ricoh color Digital Printers, and also the HP laser jet printers. Remakes requests from the downstream merging and inserting operations will be processed with priority to achieve on shipment. This person reports to the Supervisor, and receives priorities and tasks from the Digital Print Lead.
Job Duties:
Processing print ready files on production equipment.
Follow a specific schedule to print production orders.
Operate Ricoh C9110, Ricoh 751C, HPM 806 printers, and any new printers.
Printer set-up.
Submitting print files to printers.
Verify printer alignment is set up correctly and make adjustments if required.
Perform quality control checks to ensure product is compliant.
Place Service Calls when required.
Clear out printer jams as required.
Scan job print tickets in IQ.
Fill out daily production logs.
Responsible for keeping work area organized and clean.
Follow remake procedures.
Operate cutters and other finishing equipment as required.
Assist in training new operators.
Comply with G+D Environmental, Health & Safety policies, procedures and report any Environment, Health & Safety hazards, incidents and concerns to the immediate Supervisor
Other duties as assigned
