The Nexpress Operator is a Digital printing operator that can operate multiple types of machines within the Digital Department. The primary machine operation is a Kodak Nexpress. Secondary machine operation is a cutter, folder, booklet maker, and business card slitter/scoring machine.

Salary: $41K
Responsibilities & Qualifications
- Works with Digital Foreman to determine print production schedule
- Sets up Nexpress to the print specifications on the job jacket
- Works with supplied digital print files and imposes layout according to job details
- Operates the machine to produce printed product
- Makes sure quality standards are met by inspecting printed sample sheets.
- Maintains color calibration for Nexpress to ensure accurate printed color.
- Inspects printed sheets to insure all instructions for each job are being followed and job will be finished correctly
- Insure that all digital equipment is in top working order for production and quality.
- Make sure that all scheduled maintenance is performed on Nexpress according to Kodak guidelines.
- Manage parts inventory to insure that each machine has the spare parts and needed to operate.
- Folding, stitching, cutting.
- Operating business card slitter, scoring machine.
- General housekeeping duties, such as sweeping and trash pickup.
Required Education/Experience
High school diploma or equivalent
