The American Heart Association has an excellent opportunity for a Digital Content Producer and Studio Managerbased out of our National Center office located in Dallas, TX! This position will work a hybrid schedule, in office and home based

 

The ideal candidate will produce, shoot, edit and create content for audio, video, and live production executions in support of internal stakeholders and overarching Integrated Marketing Creative strategies. This includes developing content to engage consumers in our mission across Master Brand and all other facets of the American Heart Association at National Center and in support of our field staff and constituents where needed.  In addition, you will serve as Studio Manager where you will be responsible for maintaining the day-to-day operation of AHA multimedia studios, operating studio equipment, forecast equipment, and software needs, as well as testing and overseeing quality control of studio products.

  • Produce and shoot high-quality digital media including video, audio, and live broadcasts (storyboard as needed). Including the facilitation of on-location video production (logistics, talent, and crew).
  • Edit and manage postproduction including graphics, color, and audio for video, social media, podcasts, and other digital assets such as magazines, interactive tools, apps, blogs, and patient forums.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of in-house studio including equipment inventory and digital assets as well as maintain in-house AV equipment.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with staff, volunteers, writers, editors, support professionals, and third-party vendors.
  • Manage bandwidth, scheduling of multimedia projects, developing and managing project and production schedules identifying additional digital content freelancers to supplement the team or resolving schedule conflicts and invoicing.
  • Archive all video assets using production standards for Marketing and Communications digital asset management system.
  • Administrative activities including, but not limited to expenses, invoice processing, vendor setup, contracts, etc.

Technical Skills

  • Expertise with current video and audio production equipment including broadcast cameras and accessories, DSLRs, lenses, lighting, routers and switchers, field and Studio audio, and editing including the Adobe suite, DaVinci, and ProTools
  • Knowledge of storage servers, DAMs, waveform monitors, vector scopes, camera control units, VFR, and speakers
  • Understanding of lighting rigs such as ceiling-mounted lighting grids, tungsten lights, and lighting control boards

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Radio/Television Production, Digital Media Arts or a related field of study
  • 5 plus years of experience as a camera operator specializing in both still photography and video
  • 5 plus years of expertise in post-production editing and creating graphic/visual effects
  • Five (5) years of proficiency in video lighting and audio recording and management
  • Three (3) years of experience operating live streaming equipment (Riverside, Zoom)
  • Extensive knowledge of video production software, particularly Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Premiere, and Photo, Aftereffects, Envato, DaVinci Resolve
  • Film & photography equipment including cine cameras, DSLRs, audio recording, and lighting equipment
  • Proven ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels externally and within the organization
  • Openness to learning internal systems and processes
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Canva
  • Demonstrated capacity to manage day-to-day responsibilities with minimal supervision
  • Willingness to travel locally up to 25% of the time and stay overnight when necessary 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Five (5) years of experience in digital content creation and marketing
  • Experience in podcasting is highly desired
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and their respective video requirements
  • Ability to handle multiple production projects simultaneously
  • Adaptability to last-minute assignments and changes in assignments
  • Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to handle high-pressure and time-sensitive situations during the production process
  • Up-to-date knowledge of multimedia studio production technology and techniques in the industry, with the ability to provide guidance to leadership on advancements and best practices to maintain a state-of-the-art environment
