Basic Function:The Digital Engagement Specialist will help advance key priorities of the Office of Alumni & Family Engagement primarily using digital communications. Guided by the senior associate director, the digital media specialist will implement and execute strategic communications campaigns, report outcomes, and recommend improvements to overall strategy and approach to best engage Denison’s alumni.
Essential Job Functions:- Project manage and write communication messages with divisional and campus partners, ensuring details are known and schedules are met.
- Maintain the alumni website, taking primary responsibility for day-to-day updates and enlisting outside help for larger adjustments as needed.
- Develop and manage an alumni storytelling strategy for social media channels in partnership with University Communications (UCOMM).
- Lead reporting efforts to gauge effectiveness of AFE marketing and communications strategies and tactics.
- Take a collaborative, curious approach to all projects, and offer new ideas or recommendations for improvement to help teams meet engagement goals.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business or a related field
Preferred Qualifications:Experience managing social media content for another organization; experience with Google Suite, RE NXT, Emma, WordPress, Hubspot, Drupal, InDesign, Almabase and/or Canva is strongly preferred.
Physical Demands:Office environment/no specific or unusual physical or environmental demands.
