Job Description

The purpose of the Digital Designer is to design and produce marketing materials across multiple channels, including advertising (digital and print), digital marketing mediums, social media, signage, and promotional items. They will create and develop compelling video, animation, infographics, and email and landing page templates. They will serve as a design lead and subject matter expert on the team, translating strategic positioning, messaging, and core values through memorable visual communication experiences. The Digital Designer will work closely with all other roles on the marketing team, as well as working cross-departmentally to offer project support as needed and ensure design continuity across all media and communications.


Essential Functions

  • Evolves Baker Hill’s visual brand identity to increase brand awareness and excitement.
  • Conceptualizes and delivers creative content including social posts, cases studies, whitepapers, infographics, e-books, PowerPoints, photography, and videos that align with company brand and voice.
  • Serves as subject matter expert and key visual creator for all things brand and design on the team for both digital and print media.
  • Understands and uses industry best practices for all visual aspects of B2B marketing.
  • Utilizes pre-built brand templates for content placement and quick-turn items while helping to develop new templates for other members of the marketing team
  • Adheres to project management plans, meeting the needs outlined in creative briefs, including delivery schedules and budgetary considerations.
  • Creates functional CSS/HTML design for landing pages, email templates, and more within Pardot.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to take verbal ideas and/or written copy and turn them into visual stories for the Baker Hill website as well as infographics.
  • Ownership of the Baker Hill brand guide, updating regularly to incorporate changes and bi-annually socializing within the company.
  • Proficient in digital marketing design, able to create web advertisements in varying sizes while understanding best practices.
  • Capable of building visually compelling PowerPoint presentations and manages the Corporate Storyboard Playbook’s design aspect to assist in visual storytelling.

Requirements

  • BA in Graphic Design, Web Design, or related field
  • 2-5 yrs. Design experience and/or Marketing experience
  • Strong portfolio of work, including traditional graphic design, as well as HTML/CSS email templates and landing pages, video, and/or photography.
  • Excellent communication skills – oral and written
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite, specifically PowerPoint, required
  • Experience with Adobe Creative suite required
  • Detail oriented, excellent follow-up and organization skills
  • Problem solving and decision-making abilities
  • Results-orientated and manages to timelines
  • Track record of applying oneself to self-improvement and contribution
  • Proven ability to build interdepartmental relationships at all levels and work closely with clients
