About The Role: 

As part of Gallagher's global digital experience team, the Digital Content Strategist Sr. Manager is a new role to lead and manage our content team of strategy and writers/editors to move our business forward across brands and regions on our public-facing websites. 

It's an exciting time to be a part of our Corporate Digital Marketing team as Gallagher continues to grow and evolve the business and we are on a digital transformation journey - no two days are ever alike. Gallagher's Corporate Digital Team works across Gallagher's family of brands and regions to create a consistent digital experience for our customers to drive leads.

You will report into the VP, Global Digital Experience. The Digital Experience team is a global team of Content (Strategy and Writers), SEO, Marketing and UX Research and Design professionals.

 

About You:

  • You bring B2B and B2B2C content strategy expertise and have a variety of global content projects under your belt (insurance and consulting for a primarily B2B audience a plus) and have worked on global brands.
  • You have experience managing a global team setting priorities and managing stakeholders.
  • You are data driven - demonstrated hands-on experience with Google analytics and leveraging business data and use data to inform decisions.
  • You are a skilled communicator who manages global stakeholders across Marketing and Sales and can design scalable content strategies to achieve business goals while driving traffic to the desired site/page.
  • You want to be part of a growing team that enjoys having no two days alike, working alongside a talented digital marketing team while having the flexibility to maintain work/life balance. 
  • You are flexible and organized; you must be able to keep multiple projects moving forward at the same time. 
  • You are collaborative with the team and inquisitive to ask questions.

Scope of Responsibilities: 

  • Directly manage a team of global content strategy, content writers and translations needs to support our public-facing websites that creates a unified digital experience.
  • Develop content strategy and create content across brands, regions and languages that drives engagement, optimized for SEO and creates marketing qualified leads across Gallagher's brands and regions across our digital channels.
  • Collaborate across regions, divisions and brands to ensure the right content is featured to drive traffic across sites.
  • Understand who our competitors are, stay informed of competitors and identify opportunities based on competitor analysis.
  • Customer-centric and data-driven - know how to use tools to create insights to ideate and test content for user engagement and drive leads.
  • Manage multiple work streams and balance priorities among the team and with global stakeholders.
  • Initiate and plan content-related research and briefs, including interviewing stakeholders and working with stakeholders to approve optimized content as requested.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and maintain a digital editorial style guide for all brands.
  • Participate in peer reviews of content drafts to ensure styles and components are identified before the web team builds as well as in a preview environment.
  • Develop processes, editorial style guide and other job aids for marketing and digital teams to use that makes it easy for all digital teams to understand page flow and for the web team to easily layout a page with the suggested components.
  • Support day-to-day requests from stakeholders, with recommending best approaches to promote various forms of content.
  • Collaborate and work closely with the global web team, design, SEO, UX Research and Marketing leads across divisions and regions on various projects.
  • Support digital transitions for mergers and acquisitions working with marketing and business stakeholders to transition merger partners to Gallaghers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

 

 

Required:

 

  • Bachelor's degree and 7 years related experience required.

 

Desired:
  •  Bachelor's Degree with 10 years of professional experience (within Risk and Insurance a plus)
  •  A digital-first mindset with demonstrated experience in using tools (Google Analytics, SEO data) for content strategy, architecture and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Expertise is creating content strategies with SEO and business goals top of mind for enterprises - insurance and consulting experience a plus.
  • Exceptional presentation, written and verbal communication and cross-functional negotiation skills
  • Experience with developing content for a global audience - including translated content.
  • Agile experience
  • Skilled at collaborating with digital teams and marketing and sales stakeholders. 
  • Experience and/or understanding of digital marketing tools and platforms (including but not limited to: Google Analytics, Sitecore, seoClarity, SEMRush, ION interactive, Usertesting.com, Hotjar, Qualtrics, Trello, Workfront, Smartsheets, Figma.
  • Ability to manage a multitude of projects at different phases with different global regions.
  • Flexibility to meet with global stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing content leveraging data, various assets, research and business goals to drive engagement and conversion across many industries.
  • Demonstrated experience working on multiple projects of all sizes at the same time.
  • Multilingual site experience is a plus.
