The Department of Financial Protection and Innovation is recruiting for one (1) Permanent, Full-time, Digital Content Specialist (Associate Governmental Program Analyst) within the Office of Public Affairs. This position is to be located in the Sacramento, San Francisco, or Los Angeles office. This recruitment may be used to fill subsequent vacancies of these positions within the next 180 days.
Reporting to the Digital Director, the Digital Content Specialist is a critical position on the Digital team. This role creates and distributes engaging content across all DFPI's digital platforms, including social media and the web and collaborates closely with the Marketing Analyst to develop effective marketing strategies. The Digital Content Specialist also analyzes key metrics for data-driven decisions, fosters digital community engagement, engages in deep social listening, and contributes innovative ideas to further DFPI's organizational objectives.

Working Conditions
Sacramento Location : The Sacramento office is located in north Natomas. The Natomas office offers FREE PARKING, is easily accessible from INTERSTATES 5 and 80, and is also close to various dining and shopping choices in the Natomas area.
San Francisco Location : The San Francisco office is located in the heart of the financial district within walking distance to BART and restaurants.
Los Angeles Location : The Los Angeles office is located in the heart of the downtown financial district within walking distance to restaurants, transit, multiple parking options.

Desirable Qualifications In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:
- 2+ years of recent experience developing multi-channel, multimedia content for social and web.
- 2+ years of recent experience managing social media, including content planning and social listening.
- Experience with online community management and responding to stakeholder inquiries.
- Experience with graphic design and video creation.
- Experience in analyzing and optimizing Digital Content performance.
- Ability to convey technically complex information in plain language.
- Self-starter who can manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- A bachelor's degree, preferably with a specialization in marketing, communications, design or related field.
