JOB PURPOSE: 

Coordinate enterprise growth through representing Cat Financial and/or deploying financing-related capabilities on Caterpillar’s platforms, with a specific focus on Cat.com

Support appropriate partners in deploying digital capabilities, focusing on delivering customer and business value as defined in a variety of ways, typically in the form of online leads, attributable sales, parts sales and support activities – the full customer lifecycle. Proactively seek to understand the marketing and business objectives of appropriate partners and help coordinate with capability experts on how, when and where capabilities can be best utilized to drive value.

PREFFERED EXPERIENCE:

(This role is focused on global website support):

  • Content Management System (CMS) experience, specifically Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)

  • Design Experience (Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, or online tools)

  • Google Analytics or similar analytics, certification preferred

  • Writing for the web, including SEO and UX best practices

  • Basic understanding of HTML and CSS to effectively communicate with dev teams

  • Lead generation or eCommerce growth strategies

JOB DUTIES:

Supports appropriate team members in driving and/or deploying digital execution within the framework of enterprise tools, processes and strategies.  Helps manage and organize appropriate information, dashboards, metrics and other reports for team members to use with their partners. Supports digital projects that identify linkages and synergies across business units, industries and/or Dealers.

Supports proper collaboration, coordination, training, communication and alignment among related areas, projects and strategies within the team and with internal and/or Dealer partners.  Reinforces digital awareness through communication and identity programs in global regions and multiple business units, industry groups and/or Dealers. This role will help coordinate materials and efforts necessary to convey and execute digital strategy. Supports future-focused assessment of global and industry impact related to digital programs and deployments, and helps other consultants coordinate efforts.

Assists other consultants in coordinating efforts and/or gathers information to solve issues and problems requiring careful analysis and diagnosis.  Proactively seeks to develop personal digital acumen.

Tracks and monitors progress, typically via metrics reporting.  Other job duties assigned as needed.

Some travel required (less than 10% of working time)

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:

This position requires 1 to 4 years of job-related experience, typically in ecommerce, digital marketing, technical marketing, marketing communications, or corporate communications.  A college or university degree or equivalent experience is required.
Proven communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to partner and build relationships across all levels of the organization from team members to executive management is required.  This position requires basic skills working with people from different backgrounds and cultures, internally and externally, and the ability to resolve differences and issues. The work environment requires this position to adapt quickly to high velocity and change.  Project coordinating, including basic communication and change management planning is also required.  It is important to have basic knowledge of current digital capabilities such as mobility, online sales, social media, content, marketing automation, analytics, etc.

The ability to demonstrate digital capabilities if necessary and basic product support experience is desired.
