Nutrition as Therapy is a national plant-based RDN virtual Private Practice. We have been in business since 2007. We have the experience to help our clients reach their goals. Our philosophy promotes plant-based, wholesome eating using natural food and organic supplementation. We make eating healthy a fun and delicious experience. Our areas of expertise include weight management, high blood pressure management, high cholesterol/triglyceride management, nutrition for pregnancy, diabetes, RI, teen/child/infant nutrition, nutrition for optimal health, and disordered eating including compulsive & emotional overeating.

*NOTE--WE ARE BASED IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA. OUR HOURS OF OPERATION ARE M-THURS 9:00 AM-7:00 PM PST AND F-SAT 8:00 AM-6:00 PM.

Position Full-time

Duties

Please note this is not an extensive list and some duties and responsibilities may change or may not be included.

• Assist Supervisor with daily tasks
• Assist in crafting plant-based handouts in English and Spanish for staff
• Rework training materials
• Counsel patients
• Under the direction of the RD Supervisor, work with volunteers and interns
• Must communicate excellently when speaking, reading and writing

Experience/Skills

• Plant-based knowledge and experience is necessary
• Must be plant-based OR practice vegan or a flexitarian eating pattern
• Remote work and video Telehealth experience preferred
• At least 2 years of experience in one-on-one nutrition counseling in Private Practice required: Weight management, tube feedings, TPN, high blood pressure, high cholesterol/triglyceride, pregnancy, diabetes, teen/child/infant nutrition, vegan/vegetarian, optimal health, disordered eating including compulsive & emotional overeating is a must
• Must have experience with Motivational Interviewing
• Must have required work set-up: Hot spot, high-speed internet (20mb/s min), hard-wire connection, dual monitors, computer 3 years or newer with 8GB or higher home, office area away from noise and distractions
• Must have excellent time management and multitasking skills
• Must have ability to lead a team meeting
• Must have ability to thrive in fast-pace work environment
• Must have ability to think ahead
• Exceptional communication is necessary for this remote position
• Must be computer and technology savvy
• Prefer bilingual & fluent in Spanish
• Base pay depends on experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
