About the Position

A Dietetic Medical Assistant at Harris Health System will perform clerical and patient care activities corresponding to the demand of the correctional health unit alongside a team of healthcare professionals. You will practice under the medical supervision of a licensed physician or licensed nurse. In this role, you will perform duties within your scope of practice and competence in accordance with the policies and procedures outlined by the Correctional Health division of Harris Health System. The Medical Assistant will also participate in compliance and quality performance improvement efforts to ensure care provided is both safe and effective.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• CAAHEP or ABHES from an ABHES accredited facility
• 1 year of dietetics or nutrition experience
