Form of work Responsibilities
The Dietary Manager will plan, direct, and coordinate the activities of Dietary Department whereby nutritional care and food services are provided for patients and staff. It will be the responsibility of the Manager to monitor quality improvement activities; and to effectively manage dietary operations and personnel in accordance with hospital and departmental goals and objectives. Will prepare budgets/budget forecasts; order food supplies; prepare schedules, counsel staff and complete performance appraisals. Other duties as assigned.
Salaried, Exempt position.

Qualifications
Education:
High School or GED required. Associates level degree preferred.
Experience:
Four (4) years' experience in food service managment, preferably manager/assistant manager level. Experience in health care food service facility preferred. Experience with large kitchen equipment and quantity food preparation; quality assurance and sanitation issues/methods.
License:
Food handler permit or ServSafe required.
Physical requirements:
Medium Work - Exerting 20 - 50 pounds of force occasionally or 10 - 25 pounds of force frequently or an amount greater than negligible and up to 10 pounds of force frequently or an amount greater than negligible and up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of these for light work. Requires walking or standing to a significant degree.
