We are seeking a skilled and experienced Dietary Cook to join our team. As a Dietary Cook, you will play a crucial role in preparing and cooking meals for our residents. Your attention to detail and passion for culinary excellence will contribute to the overall satisfaction of our residents.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook meals according to dietary guidelines and restrictions
- Ensure that all meals are prepared in a timely manner
- Follow recipes and portion control guidelines
- Monitor food quality and taste for consistency
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area
- Collaborate with dietary aides to ensure smooth meal service
- Assist with food preparation as needed
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of food production and cooking techniques
- Previous experience as a cook or dietary aide in a healthcare or similar setting is preferred
- Culinary training or certification is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills to ensure meals are served on time
- Knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation procedures
- Ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff and other team members
