The Dietary Aideworks in our adult day health center preparing and serving snacks and meals to participants in addition to maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen and equipment and other related tasks.
- Prepares and serves morning/afternoon snacks at proper temperature with portion control and diet orders - wearing hair net, gloves and apron.
- Updates information on diet card and diet lists when information changes as needed.
- Maintains cleanliness of kitchen and equipment according to cleaning schedule.
- Cleans, organizes and sanitizes food service equipment and areas.
- Maintains inventory and restocks supplies, monitoring expiration dates.
- Records temperatures of all meals and kitchen equipment
- Assists with ordering, tracking and delivering meals, supplies and supplements.
- Assists the Dietitian with the Child and Adult Care Food Program.
REQUIRED
- High School Diploma or GED
- ServSafe certification or obtain certification within 90 days of hire
- Current food safety training or obtain certification within 90 days of hire
PREFERRED
- Knowledge of basic nutrition for a geriatric population
- Bilingual
