Are you a skilled Diesel Technician with a knack for diagnosing and repairing diesel engines? Are you passionate about continuous improvement and keen to take your career to the next level? We are a leading manufacturing company seeking an experienced Diesel Technician to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers the opportunity to work with a diverse range of diesel engines, tractors, and trailers. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks including troubleshooting, repairs, maintenance, testing, and service. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a team of dedicated professionals and contribute to our commitment to excellence and quality.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel engines, tractors, and trailers.
- Perform routine maintenance and service to ensure optimal performance and longevity of equipment.
- Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications.
- Operate and inspect machines or heavy equipment to diagnose defects.
- Disassemble and overhaul internal combustion engines, pumps, generators, transmissions, clutches, and differential units.
- Repair and replace damaged or worn parts.
- Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with company and OSHA standards.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and make suggestions for improvements.
- Keep detailed records of serviced machines and inventory.
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience as a Diesel Technician.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting, repairs, maintenance, and service of diesel engines.
- Experience with tractors, trailers, and valves.
- Familiarity with diesel truck and tractor repair.
- Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to read and understand technical diagrams and manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and quality service.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items and work in varying weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license.
Nice to have:
- ASE Certification T8 and experience in wiring and motors.
