DIESEL MECHANIC
LOCATION: ENGLEWOOD, COLORADO (WILL CONSIDER RELOCATION TO CO)
RATE: $27HR TO $31HR
DURATION: FTE
We invest in seasoned mechanics.
Need diesel experience.
Open to relocating and discussion for assistance.
Schedule: 45-50 hours/weekday shift 10 hr day. Weekend once a month on call.
Field position out in Field, will get service truck. Works with dispatch.
Line- work in shop with other mechanics. Equipment support.
Lunch break- 30 min varies branch to branch.
Not set end time, open to working 6-4 or 7-5 normal hours.
Interview process: apply through system, email presentation, phone screen and then in person interview.
Onsite interview-dress business casual or coming from work attire.
Our client is looking for a Diesel Mechanic to join their team!
About the Position
- Work Environment: Mechanics in this role often work outdoors, exposed to various weather conditions such as rain, snow, or sunshine. They may need to perform repairs and maintenance in less-than-ideal weather conditions.
- Safety: This is a safety-sensitive position, which means that mechanics must adhere to strict safety protocols to protect themselves and others while working with heavy machinery and equipment. Safety is a top priority to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Mechanics in this role are responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance on diesel and aerial equipment. This includes tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and inspections to ensure the equipment is in good working condition. They also need to troubleshoot and diagnose issues with the equipment and perform necessary repairs.
- Variety of Equipment: Mechanics work with a range of equipment, including diesel engines, aerial lifts, and smaller tools. They need to be familiar with the specific maintenance and repair requirements of each type of equipment. We do provide continuous training for all of our mechanics.
- Safety Compliance: Mechanics must adhere to safety regulations and guidelines, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safety procedures to minimize risks associated with working on heavy machinery.
Have you got what it takes?
- It helps to have 5-7 years as a technician under your belt, preferably with a construction equipment background.
- Must have the tools you need to do the job; your hands will only get yours so far.
