Job Description
An Ocean Transportation company is looking to hire a Diesel Mechanic to join their team in supporting the maintenance and repair of our company's fleet of Heavy Trucks. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two (2) years of experience diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and overhauling diesel engines.
Starting Pay: $22/hr (10 - 12+ hours of overtime each week)

Responsibilities:
* Diagnose, repair, maintain, and overhaul diesel engines in Heavy Trucks.
* Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems components including turbo, fuel injection, A/C, EGR, pumps, alternator, starter, drive train, etc.
* Follow diesel engine assembly practices, specifications, and procedures involved in maintenance repairs and replacement.
* Utilize effective analytical skills to identify problems quickly.
* Read and understand automotive diagrams and reference manuals.
* Use common hand and power tools effectively.
Requirements:
* Minimum two (2) years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and overhauling diesel engines.
* Knowledge of diesel engine assembly practices, specifications, and procedures.
* Ability to read, write, and speak basic English.
* Must have or be able to obtain a TWIC card within 30 days of employment.
* Must be able to obtain internal forklift certification within 90 days of employment.
