Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of diesel engines, strong diagnostic skills, and a proven track record in efficiently maintaining and repairing a variety of diesel-powered vehicles and equipment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Diagnose and Repair Diesel Engines:

    • Conduct thorough diagnostics to identify and troubleshoot engine malfunctions.
    • Perform repairs and adjustments to diesel engines, ensuring optimal performance.
  2. Routine Maintenance:

    • Execute routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks.
    • Inspect and service various vehicle systems to ensure reliability.
  3. Brakes and Suspension Systems:

    • Inspect, repair, and replace brake systems and components.
    • Address issues related to suspension and steering systems.
  4. Transmission and Drive Train:

    • Diagnose and repair issues with transmissions and drive train components.
    • Perform routine inspections to identify potential problems.
  5. Electrical Systems:

    • Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including wiring, lights, and accessories.
    • Address issues related to batteries, alternators, and starters.
  6. Hydraulic Systems:

    • Repair and maintain hydraulic systems on various diesel-powered equipment.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve issues affecting hydraulic performance.
  7. Welding and Fabrication:

    • Utilize welding and fabrication skills for repairs and customizations as needed.
  8. Record-Keeping:

    • Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts inventory.
    • Provide accurate documentation for service histories.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic in a similar role.
  • Extensive knowledge of diesel engines and associated systems.
  • Proficiency in diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Strong welding and fabrication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Physical ability to lift and move Heavy Equipment and parts.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant certifications in Diesel Mechanics.
  • CDL (Commercial Driver's License) is a plus.
  • Additional certifications in welding and fabrication.
  • Familiarity with various makes and models of diesel-powered vehicles.
