Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team to service / repair our fleet of Mobile Cranes, Truck and other Heavy Fleet Equipment.
You will also be responsible for maintaining repair shop equipment, preparing cost estimates, and maintaining a welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
* Read Diagrams and schematic drawings and service manuals to determine work procedures
* Carry out preventative maintenance programs
* Must be able to identify all types of crane components
* Must have a strong background in electrical, drive train, engines, hydraulics, and computer-controlled systems
* Identify and request replacement part to perform repairs
* Understand and comply with all Safety and Environmental requirements
* Examine parts for damage and excessive wear
* Read and understand operating manuals, part manuals and blueprints
* Ability to work overtime as well as some weekends is a plus, but this is not often required
* Travel is required periodically for the field part of this job, a valid drivers license is needed and satisfactory vehicle, field tech will also need to collect parts.
* Must be capable of communicating effectively and professionally with supervisors and other personnel
Qualifications
* Mechanic experience
* Diagnostics minimum 3 years mechanical experience
* Experience or Training in both electrical and mechanical fields
* Ability to drive a company service truck
