Fleet Diesel Mechanic - 2nd Shift
Central Auto & Transport is a family owned & operated company that has been in business for 100 years. We are looking for a Diesel Mechanic - 2nd Shift to fill our needs including maintaining our fleet, and working on customer vehicles in house. Our success is attributed to our employees. Job duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform minor & major repairs on trucks & trailers
- Conduct regular preventative maintenance on trucks and service vehicles including inspection, tire rotation and oil changes
- Maintain parts inventory and cleanliness in shop
- Collaborate with other repair team members to diagnose vehicles and plan repairs
- Perform regular diagnostic tests on trucks
- Maintain and submit daily accurate records of each repair perform on vehicle
Job Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 year of experience with Diesel Diagnosis
- Ability to perform Federal Annual Inspections
- Solid understanding and adherence to safety and environmental standards
- CDL is preferred but not required in all cases
- Excellent reading and writing skills
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds
- ASE Diesel Certification is not required but is preferred
- Possession of one's own tools is required
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening

Pay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour
