Die Shop Supervisor Job Description
BRT has an immediate opening for a Die Shop Supervisor in our Niles, OH facility.
In this position, you will have the opportunity to prove your experience and skills and then move quickly into the Supervisor role upon completion of evaluation and/or training.
We are open to an individual who is ready to take that next step into a supervisory role if they have the required experienced and have managed or assisted in managing a team of die chasers.
If you are working in a Die Shop, have learned the basics, made corrections, have experience in polishing and have taken initiative but have not been promoted to supervisorThis may be your opportunity.

The open Supervisor Position is a midnight to 8am position, and training/evaluation will be during the day and evening hours.
This position's wage will be commensurate with experience, and we will be competitive for the candidate who most closely matches what is needed for this role.

Essential Requirements of the Die Shop Supervisor:
Experience in die Correcting, polishing and measurements
Experience with and/or contributing to shift efficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing facility
Have managed or assisted to manage/supervise at least 3 people in a Die Shop
Basic Math skills must be above average
Computer skills are a must
Must have the ability/experience to use calipers and micrometers
Must be 18 years of age to work in the plant
Essential Duties of the Die Shop Supervisor
Supervise and manage die polishers and die chasers on your shift - for productivity
Handle employee challenges on shiftattendance, performance, productivity
Train die chasers on proper procedure, handling of dies and the die process
Review die failures and make die corrections as they come through the Die Shop
Polish dies in between die corrections
Move product and/or materials manually as required
Will assist on shift as needed (to replace a c/o or vacation etc)
Comply with Company policies including, but not limited to, attendance and safety policies
Work varying shifts and OT per business needs and volume
Physical Requirements:
This position requires the individual to work in a factory/manufacturing environment. The temperatures can fluctuate from hot to cold and the noise level is high. An individual in this role will be able to walk, bend, stoop, twist, turn, climb, and push/pull frequently. An individual in this role will need to be always aware of movement and/or noises around them.
An individual in this role must move 75lbs frequently and up to 100lbs occasionally. An individual in this role will remain stationary and/or move about the factory as needed per essential duties of the position. An individual in this role will be an effective communicator verbally and in writing, and this role requires individuals to read and follow written procedures in English.
