Job description

This Die Cast Operator is accountable for the quality and quantity of die cast parts produced by assigned machines.

  • Operate assigned die cast machines and produce necessary quantity of castings as required
  • Package and piece count material in required containers/pallets per router instruction
  • Follow router instructions and requirements
  • Skim pots daily at start of each shift and empty dross containers in required bins
  • Complete daily operator PM requirements
  • Responsible for metal separation/segregation between material types
  • Check quality of parts and identify types of defects according to control plan/work instructions
  • Use and maintain CPI measuring equipment - report any lost/damaged gages to quality inspectors/supervisor
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Able to read blueprints and take measurements with all the appropriate instruments
  • Knowledgeable of good safety practices and quality standards
  • Good math and computer skills
