Job Description
- The Electrical Engineer as part of the Incubation Hub team is responsible for the electrical architecture of the multiple projects part of the Incubation Hub to meet the project requirements.
- This involves the system and board level architecture as well as the development (design & test) of analogic, digital and power supply of systems operating on batteries.
- The Electrical Engineer also assists in working with external companies to outsource part of the deliverables.
- Assist in identifying and organizing requirements.
- Derive from requirements architecture for system and board level.
- Analysis and simulations of the various architectures to extract key design choices.
- Produce analyses and mathematical models and draw design conclusions based on those.
- Power source selection (batterie, supercapacitors)
- Ability to select components based on analysis of specifications and reliability.
- Conduct Failure Analysis at board, tool and system level
- Design proof of concept
- Author technical reports, papers, articles, patents and presentations. Share expertise via Eureka and special interest groups.
- Expand informal network throughout the organization.
- Conduct or participate in technical reviews of requirements, specifications, designs, code and other artifacts.
- Provide support to field and customers for the prototype field operations.
- Assign, direct and review work of peers. mentor junior engineers.
- Keep abreast of novel technical concepts and markets. Adopt new practices readily in order to develop innovative and low-cost products.
- Ability to review, evaluate, analyze and redesign PWA and MCM designs.
- Maintain and improve documentation on electronic designs and products (technical files, schematics, assembly procedures, tool manuals, etc.)
- Experience designing for high temperature.
- BS / MS / PhD in Science or Engineering with electrical experience or education
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience - e.g. design of downhole electrical systems, board level architecture, development of analogic and digital systems operating on batteries
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal
- English language proficiency
