About the Job: This candidate would utilize a new GE Lunar Dexa scanner. This candidate will be trained to utilize the McKesson PACS workstation and the Cerner platform. They will also need to help with calling and scheduling Dexa patients each week. This person will need to be able to lift at least 50 pounds. This person will be provided with lifting help from MRI/Therapy departments nearby. Flexibility is possible on which 3 days of the week are preferred to be worked by the candidate.
According to the guidelines of Radiology Diagnostic Protocol and under the direction of a Radiologist/Physician and Supervisor, Diagnostics, performs radiographic procedures as ordered by physician and processes images for use in patient diagnosis and treatment.

Successful completion of a radiological diagnostic education from an accredited program.
Licensure/Registration/Certification:
Current licensure with registration (or eligible for completion within year of employment) from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Current Indiana State Board of Health General Certificate for Radiographers. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification is required within six months of employment.
Job Knowledge & Skills:
1) Requires thorough working knowledge of radiological diagnostic procedures and equipment utilized with general knowledge of regulations impacting the delivery of diagnostic services.
2) Requires general working knowledge of the normal growth, development, related behaviors, needs, comfort and range of treatment appropriate to the age (including child, adolescent, aging adult) and diagnosis of patient served to support the provision of an individualized multidisciplinary plan of care.
3) Requires analytical skills in order to conduct appropriate testing, interpret validity and quality of diagnostic service performed.
4) Demonstrates well-developed interpersonal and communication skills necessary to interact effectively with all internal and external unit customers as needed.
5) Demonstrates working knowledge of the English language, both verbal and written.
6)This candidate would need to possess a current license as a Radiologic Technologist in the state of Indiana.
7) A candidate who has a some working knowledge of bone densitometry is preferred, but if this person does not have the background, application training can be provided.
8) An ideal candidate must possess excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with a diverse range of patients and colleagues.
