DevSecOps Developer

SimVentions is a 100% employee-owned business and has consistently been voted one of Virginia's Best Places to Work. We are looking for a DevSecOps Developer to develop, test, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and other support systems for the development of combat systems. This work is performed on-site at Dahlgren Naval Base in an Agile development environment as part of an integrated contractor-government team, developing tactical weapons system software.

Responsibilities: 

• Develop, test, and maintain automated build and test pipelines using Jenkins, Docker, Groovy, SonarQube, and Python, among other tools
• Create and enhance automated test applications using Java or other languages
• Communicate and coordinate with development and test team, line management, and other stakeholders

Requirements:

• United States Citizenship
• 5+ years of experience using:
  - Jenkins
  - Docker
  - Groovy
  - Python
  - Java
  - Linux

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Experience with SonarQube
  

Education:A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline is required

Clearance: A Secret Clearance is required for this position. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship is required to obtain a clearance.

Travel: Occasional travel to support test events

Compensation at SimVentions is determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, education, training, security clearance, work location, skills, knowledge, and competencies, as well as alignment with our corporate compensation plan and contract specific requirements.  

The projected annual compensation range for this position is $80,000 - $135,000 (USD). This estimate reflects the standard salary range for this position and is just one component of the total compensation package that SimVentions offers.
