SAIC is seeking a DevSecOps Architect to join our energized Engineering Innovation Factory Team of solution architects, digital engineers, and software developers to define and build the Digital Engineering Ecosystem, a packaged digital thread solution that fuels the Digital Engineering Transformation across our entire industry. Our work creating digital ecosystems span an exciting variety of programs, customers and corporate initiatives requiring Digital Engineering and Model Based Enterprise applications and infrastructure deployed in Defense, Federal Civilian, and/or National Security environments. This job can be performed remotely anywhere within the U.S. for the right candidate. As part of our Engineering Innovation Factory Team, you will be responsible for prototyping, architecting, and deploying new Digital Engineering solutions for our internal and external customers to include both cloud-based and on-prem solutions across multiple security domains. You will engage with other digital engineering subject matter experts and foster broader understanding of the Digital Engineering ecosystem to assist them in developing digital work products and connecting them to the Digital Ecosystem. You will also be required to engage with the larger community (Industry, Government, and Academia) to stay up to date with latest trends and emerging technologies, approaches, methods, and techniques to further mature and or increase our digital engineering capabilities, and to mentor others on our solutions and standards. This position may be remote anywhere in the US for the right candidate.
 
Your near-term objectives include modernizing hard real-time embedded software development practices by integrating key partner technologies into modern DevSecOps platforms, generating best practices for embedded software development, test, evaluation, and deployment, as well as connecting software development artifacts with upstream and downstream engineering domains within the Digital Thread. 
  
Job Responsibilities:

• Work closely with development teams to automate the build process and deployment of the projects into various test environments, including emulated target processers
• Work with other cross functional and security teams to build security, reliability, scalability in software development life cycle, and participate in safety case generation for safety critical software components
• Build the infrastructure services from ground up in cloud and on-prem environments to deliver highly scalable services
• Build CI/CD pipelines using variety of open source and COTS tools and streamline the application deployment process
• Constantly look for opportunities for process improvements and automation
• Establish and maintain performance metrics and monitoring of micro-services environment
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues in development, testing and production environments
• Integrate software-in-the-loop and hardware-in-the-loop test automation capabilities with system integration lab hardware and simulations 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer science or equivalent and 14+ years of experience, or a Master's Degree and 12+ years of experience, or a PhD or JD and 9+ years of experience. Four additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. 
• Experience in managing software systems, development infrastructure and administration
• At least 3 years of experience in DevOps role
• 3+ years of experience in Python or similar programming languages
• Experience in creating scripts for continuous integration pipelines using automation tools like Jenkins, Bamboo
• Experience with binary repository systems like Artifactory
• Experience with Git based version control systems
• Hands-on experience in automating deployment process and testing across multiple environments and help
• Development teams establish the workflows for continuous deployment
• Ability to understand, learn, use new technologies, and adapt rapidly 

Clearance Requirement:

• Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance is required.

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Experience in setup, integration and customization of Azure DevOps
• Experience in containerization and deployment using Docker, Kubernetes, or similar
• Experience with any monitoring and metrics tools like NewRelic
• DevOps or DevSecOps certifications
• Exposure or experience with software development teams using cross-compilers and hard real-time and safety critical applications
