Job Summary:
The Development Representative provides a role in developing, maintaining, and growing relationships with Mennonite Mission Network’s financial supporters, donors, and churches to ensure that organization continues to thrive and fulfill its goals.

- Experience with Customer Relationship Management software is preferred but not required.
- Must be able to adhere to relationship documentations requirements and follow up.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Cultivate individual Donors and Congregations.
- Develop and deepen trusting relationships with donors and churches to support and engage Mission Network services or who would like to explore that possibility.
- Develop strategies for each donor and church in consultation with the Director of Development, with the intention of growing, stewarding, and retaining their giving.
- Take responsibility for assigned database and consistently meet or exceed monthly activity goals.
- Display discretion, good judgement, be an advocate for the agency when meeting with donors and churches.
- Acknowledge contributions promptly and appropriately for each gift.
- Work with congregations to invite support and encouragement for missionaries.
- Work closely with the Ministry Support Team Coach and Director of Development to identify potential funding congregations and maintain and grow already existing support relationship.
- Strategize and schedule presentations to churches, individuals, and other ministry groups to facilitate a closer support relationship with Mission Network as part of a team.
- Participate in all team meetings and contribute to visioning, planning and assessment of team goals.
- Complete required CRM data input for team and individual efficiency.
- Works closely with the Constituent Engagement Team in consultation with Director of Development.
- Work on special project and cross-functional teams as assigned.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- College is preferred but not required or equivalent life experiences.
- Experience in fundraising is preferred but not required.
- Intercultural mission and service experience or bilingual ability is an asset.
Travel Requirements:
Able to travel up to 60 - 80 days per year and as required.
