The Development Engineer reports to a Lead Engineer and has the responsibility to work on the development and implementation of novel technologies related to Emission Controls and Filtration as well as other cross-functional disciplines.

The Development Engineer reports to a Lead Engineer and has the responsibility to work on the development and implementation of novel technologies related to Emission Controls and Filtration as well as other cross-functional disciplines.
Responsibilities:
- Develops innovative solutions to complex problems and solicits creative concepts from other technical specialists for both process and product development
- Set up equipment, perform laboratory procedures, make measurements, and prepare samples per specific assignment with moderate supervision.
- Become proficient in the operation of equipment, analytical instruments, and procedures/techniques.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date lab books and records.
- Prepare charts and graphs to summarize data and experiments.
- Actively participate in housekeeping and safety.
- Develops, coordinates, directs and participates in assigned product development projects
- Designs and conducts experiments to prove the feasibility of new process concepts. Designs and manages fabrication of prototype equipment as required
- Provides bench, laboratory, pilot and production plant field trial for process development projects
- Provide recommendations for safe equipment operation and appropriate application of available technology
- Leads cross-functional teams, utilizing strong communication techniques
- Perform sampling and testing on as as as-needed basis to support manufacturing and R&D efforts.
- Use team-oriented interpersonal skills to achieve team objectives
- Support the introduction of new technology concepts in order to improve and/or change current processes.
- Travel May be Required
- Compensation Range: 60-100k
Qualifications:
- BS degree or equivalent, preferably in chemistry, materials science, or engineering.
- Experience with CAD and Engineering Design is a plus.
- Laboratory/analytical equipment experience preferred
- Basic math, language and writing skills.
- Good communication and analytical capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
- Microsoft Office (specifically Excel)
