Backend Developer

MUST:
Experienced Backend Developer
6+ Months years of software development experience
Demonstrated experience with backend software engineering languages and frameworks including: Python, Java, Java Spring
Demonstrated expertise with event store and stream-processing including: Apache Kafka
Demonstrated expertise relational databases including: Postgres
Experience with cloud services including: AWS architecture (S3, EC2, Lambda, etc.)
Experience with containers (Docker, Docker compose) and DevSecOps toolsets
Excellent oral and written communication skills with graduate-level grammar, spelling, writing style, and presentation skills
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
Have prior experience with the Department of Defense, NASA, or commercial space operations is desired
Have prior experience supporting federal government IT projects is preferred
DUTIES:
Responsible for back-end systems development as part of an Agile software development team.
Integrating Commercial Applications with Joint Task Force-Space Defense Commercial Operations Center
Designing, implementing, and delivering high-quality software, applying industry best practices
Working in an Agile environment to deliver software solutions that help teams effectively with other software engineers, the project manager, subject matter experts, clients and other stakeholders.
Proactively learning and utilizing new technologies, concepts, and procedures as appropriate to project requirements.
Providing technical input to other areas and teams
Being a productive member of a fast-paced agile team
Integrating existing applications, ensuring platforms work together seamlessly
