As an Android developer, you will play a significant role in shaping the landscape of our Android application development. You will be expected to and be able to evaluate upcoming new technologies and Android SDK improvements: determine if and how they affect our apps and investigate what opportunities they present. An enthusiasm for learning new skills and helping us to improve working practices is highly desirable.
Responsibilities:
- Delivering and maintaining new and existing Apps using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose/Android UI Toolkit
- Ensuring the application of best practices in Android development, including code quality, performance, and user experience
- Ensuring that impediments of any kind are escalated, and pragmatic long-term solutions pursued
- Delivering high quality well tested software that meets agreed requirements
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features, providing technical guidance where necessary
- Supporting and promoting Agile practices/SCRUM
- Staying up to date with the latest Android technologies and industry trends
Qualifications:
- Have experience in Android app development using Kotlin
- Be familiar with Continuous Integration/ Automated Delivery pipelines (e.g.: Circle CI)
- Understand distributed version control systems (Git/GitHub)
- Have in-depth knowledge of Android SDK, Android Studio, and Gradle
- Experience in modern declarative UI frameworks using Jetpack Compose
- Experience with dependency injection (e.g.:Hilt), the Android Testing Framework, and testing tools such as Espresso
- Be fluent in material design and SOLID principles: experience implementing Figma based design systems
- Be familiar with WebView integration and designing efficient two-way bridges between apps and dynamic web pages

Target Salary Range:
- $95,000- $120,000 Annual Salary
