Detox Counselor (LCDC) - Part Time - Austin, TX

Shift Schedule: 8:00am-5:00pm

Job Description:

The Client is responsible for milieu management and program activities under the direction of the Clinical Director. Facilitate program services, including intakes, admissions, and discharges as needed.

Responsibilities:

1. Demonstrates competence in treatment team responsibilities by:

a. Attending and participating in a team meeting at beginning of shift as scheduled.

b. Assisting with training new staff

2. Demonstrates competence in managing therapeutic milieu by:

a. Facilitating groups as assigned and documenting client participation;

b. Providing crisis and/or supportive counseling, as needed;

3. Demonstrates competence in clinical documentation by:

a. Completing all chart notes within 24 hours of service delivery, utilizing DAP format, as appropriate.

b. Charting all process groups, didactic groups, individual counseling sessions, significant client interactions, and collateral/family contacts, as required.

Required Education and Experience:

High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field preferred.

Must be licensed as an LCDC, Counselor Intern (completed 4,000 required hours), or another Qualified Credentialed Counselor.

Prior supervisory experience is preferred. Must maintain a license in good standing with the licensing agency.
