Are you ready to join a team that is passionate about quality? We are currently hiring a Detail Carpenter to join our amazing team. As the Detail Carpenter, you'll be responsible for performing all duties associated with required carpentry work to successfully complete projects within specifications and in a quality manner to meet or exceed customer expectations.

Essential Functions

• Details and prepares home for settlement
• Performs trim, dry wall, and painting as needed
• Verifies trade contractors remain on schedule
• Ensures trade contractors are in compliance with scope of work
• Ensures proper materials are installed
• Completes homeowner orientation list by settlement
• Assists Superintendent with various duties as needed
• Maintains an awareness of safety issues and communicates issues to the Superintendent
• Assists Warranty Department as needed
• Drives to sites/communities on a daily basis transporting tools
• Ensures communities are kept clean at all times
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED required
• 2 or more years of general construction experience required
• Proficiency in general carpentry required
• Ability to perform in a busy, changing, multi-tasking work environment required
• Ability to prioritize tasks and to manage time efficiently required
• Excellent customer service skills required
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal required
• Basic plumbing knowledge preferred
• Basic electric knowledge preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office required
• Current, valid driver’s license required

Working Conditions

• Primarily outdoor setting. Requires the ability to work from Monday – Friday, with a mandatory minimum thirty-minute lunch break.
• Some overtime or weekend work may be required to cater to workload.
• Requiresthe ability to work at and/or travel to various sites/communities on a daily basis and to transport tools, molding, boxes, propane heaters, step ladders, etc. as required.

Physical Requirements

• Requires the ability to lift to 50 lbs., bend, squat, kneel, stand, walk, reach, pull, push, twist, climb and to sit for extended periods of time and in different climates
• Frequently, you must be able to read and comprehend, write effectively and professionally, perform minor calculations, orally communicate with all levels within the organization, reason and analyze data.
• The main equipment/machinery used is the computer, telephone, saw, drills, hand tools and any other carpentry related equipment.
