Job Overview: Desktop Support Specialist

Join our team as a Desktop Support Specialist and help drive& support seamless technology and efficient workflows for all employees while working for an industry leading company!


Responsibilities:

  • Tech Guardian: Be the first line of defense for user issues, tackling hardware and software challenges across desktops, laptops, printers, and more.
  • Provisioning Pro:Streamline user onboarding and manage access within our identity platform, ensuring secure and efficient workflows.
  • Software Superhero: Update and maintain operating systems and applications, keeping everyone equipped with the latest tools and security patches.
  • Network Navigator: Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues, guaranteeing smooth access to critical resources.
  • Communication Champion: Deliver exceptional customer service through phone, email, and in-person support, fostering positive user relationships.
  • Trend Tracker:Analyze and document technical incidents within our ITSM platform, identifying trends and opportunities to optimize support processes.
  • Process Alchemist: Leverage ITSM tools to efficiently manage user tickets, track progress, and resolve issues swiftly.
  • Knowledge Curator:Contribute to the development and maintenance of our ITSM knowledge base, empowering both users and fellow technicians.
  • Tech Trendsetter: Stay ahead of the curve, exploring new technologies and best practices to continuously enhance user experience and ITSM efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience relevant experience preferred. Entry level candidates can be considered with Degree in IT and/or internship experience related to role.
  • Proven experience in Desktop Support, demonstrating expertise in resolving complex technical issues.
  • Strong understanding of computer hardware and software, including operating systems and networking fundamentals.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, able to think critically and identify root causes.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, interacting with diverse users with clarity, patience, and empathy.
  • Proficiency in written and verbal communication, ensuring clear documentation and impactful interactions.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented and proactive, anticipating potential issues and taking initiative to address them.

Bonus points:

  • Experience with Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory), AWS and other cloud technologies.
  • A relevant IT certification, such as A+, CompTIA Network+, or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE).

Location: Portsmouth, New Hampshire- Hybrid, with 1-2 days required in office.
