Responsibilities:

• Helping our Clients when they need assistance with various technology.
• Install, terminate, test, and label structured cabling for voice and data
• Knowledge of Windows, Apple hardware, Mac OS X, IOS iPhones and iPads is required
• Run, pull, stop, and splice fiber and copper optic cables; CAT5, CAT6, SE, fiber, Low Voltage Cables

• Mount telecom equipment

• Update and prioritize support tickets and communicate with clients on a daily basis or as required until issue is resolved.
• Workstation and peripheral diagnostics and support.
• Follows up on key users requests and performs a daily walkthrough for “high visibility users”.
• Arrange and/or assist in installation of routers and hub

• Install and build support structures. This may include: racks, j-hooks, ladders, and switches


• Confirm and verify all cable pathways

• Install and regulate IP devices, as well as terminating phone jacks, audio, and distribution frames

• Perform Wireless Surveys

Skills/Requirements:

• Must have 3 to 5 years of experience in the installation of cabling & electronic devices associated with: Telecom Systems, TCP/IP Networks, CCTV Security, Access control & Wireless Solutions.

• Read and decode blue prints

• Must have experience with: Running, pulling, stoping and splicing fiber and copper optic cables; CAT5, CAT6, SE, fiber, Low Voltage Cables

• Ability to diagnose and fix any network cable issues


Must possess:

Valid Driver's License

A High School Diploma or equivalent. (Vocational/Technical/Business School strongly preferred.)

Computer skills.

Ability to follow written & verbal instructions.Comprehension of terminology pertaining to installation & service of telecom, data, security & wireless systems.

Must have Tools

Certifications in A+, EIA, BICS, NEC or TIA standards
