The role of the Designer/Draftsman is to produce detailed fabrication drawings that allow manufacturing to fabricate various items. Designer will be responsible for producing mechanically and structurally accurate fabrication prints.
Expectations, Responsibilities and Job Duties: include the following but not limited to:
- Produce detailed CAD drawings
- Create 3D models, showing key components of weldments and assemblie
- Prepare Bills of Materials used in procurement department as well as manufacturing
- Work with engineering, manufacturing and supply chain on a regular basis to solve problems and create new designs
- Assist in R&D and new product development ideas
- Operate with minimal supervision and be highly organized in order to meet production forecasts and schedules
EDUCATION
- CAD Tech school training or related field - Required
- High School Diploma or GED - Preferred
EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE
- Demonstrate ability to solve problems on your own as well as with others
- Understanding of drafting requirements, standards and symbols
- Strong computer skills required
- AutoCAD & Autodesk Inventor - Required
- Ability to work in a team environment - Required
- Highly motivated and self-driven
- Dedicated, dependable, willing to adapt and be flexible to changing job duties
