Job Summary:

This PV Designer III will be working in a fast passed onsite team environment, taking the completed pre-design layout as approved by the homeowner and transforming the document into a complete plan-set using ACAD, including both architectural and electrical schematics. This team member is not limited in scope but is aimed at the difficult projects including ground mounts, battery systems, and system expansions. The PV Designer is responsible for QC corrections and redlines that are associated with this project for the life of the project.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Strong attention to detail.
• Proficient knowledge of the various interconnection methods per the NEC.
• Proficient knowledge of Inverter sizing.
• Proficient knowledge of AHJ and Utility Design Requirements.
• Comprehensive knowledge of breaker and wire sizing.
• Should be able to complete any residential plan-set without oversight.
• Self-management of workflow processes.
• Familiar with Battery Systems both AC and DC coupled.
• Familiar with Ground Mounts and setback boundaries.
• Familiar with system add-ons and can integrate differing systems.
• Familiar with Installation practices and application of design work.
• NABCEP is a plus.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
• 3+ years Solar design experience.
• 3+ years ACAD experience.
• Familiar with using and editing blocks (preferred)
• Familiar with Aurora Solar online tool.
• Proficiency in software programs: PowerPoint, MS Project, Excel, Word, and PDF editing.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States

Physical Requirements?:

• This position is performed in a standard office environment.
• This position will operate more than 50% of the time in a stationary position.
• When not stationary, this person will need to move about the office environment to access filing cabinets, office machinery, printers, etc.?
