Job Summary:

This position reports to the Key Client Manager and is responsible for overseeing and leading all aspects of ground training program for our staff.  This critical role ensures that our employees receive the necessary training to maintain the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and customer service. The Designated Ground Trainer will collaborate with various departments and regulatory bodies to develop, implement, and manage comprehensive training programs.

Pay Range:

$26 - $30 / hour

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with department heads to identify training needs and develop training programs tailored to specific job roles, including ramp operations.
  • Ensure training materials are up-to-date and compliant with industry regulations and airport policies.
  • Develop and maintain training manuals, videos, and other resources for easy access by trainers and trainees.
  • Coordinate and oversee the delivery of training programs by qualified trainers.
  • Travels to multiple sites to conduct training courses, OJT and compliance.
  • Complete OJT for all staff once onboarding has been completed.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of training methods and adjust as necessary to meet learning objectives.
  • Conduct periodic training assessments and evaluations to measure employee performance and training program effectiveness.
  • Stay informed about industry regulations and safety standards, ensuring that training programs align with all applicable requirements.
  • Work closely with regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with all training-related regulations.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining training quality.
  • Implement systems to track employee performance and progress in training programs.
  • Regularly review and update training materials and methods to keep pace with industry advancements and best practices.
  • Seek feedback from trainees and stakeholders to make continuous improvements to training programs.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in aviation training or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of aviation regulations and safety standards.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.
  • Proficient in using training management software and tools.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Must be able to travel.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
Physical Requirements:

The work requires routine walking, standing, bending, and carrying items weighing less than fifty pounds. Moving items over fifty pounds will be done using team lift. Must meet physical lifting requirements of 50 lbs.
