ESSENTIAL DUTIES & REPONSIBILITIES:
(Includes the following, other duties may be assigned)
- Understand Quality System requirements promoting the standards of the Quality System to ensure certification
- Supervises Design department on an 8 – 10 hour shift (Added hours if needed to complete required job duties)
- Works with Project Manager for POP projects timing
- Trouble shoot design equipment and software
- Provide digital and design labor estimates to Sales service
- Reviews, corrects and approves time and attendance for direct report
- Maintains good employee relations and adherence to labor contract provisions, takes proper and judicious disciplinary measures where required
- Develop policies and procedures as required by Quality System.
- Responsible for achieving KOIs for shift:
o Quality
o Safety
o Efficiency
o Utilization
o Preventive Maintenance
o Housekeeping - To ensure continuous improvements of shift manufacturing/operations
- Assists in resolving customer problems in areas of responsibility
- Demonstrates leadership through decisive, positive actions and provides guidance and solutions to problem
- Ensure that team management practices are implemented, encouraging involvement
from all shift employees promoting a safe, motivating work environment. - Assists in shift personnel issues as needed.
- Develop and update reports required by Executive Management
- Maintains thorough knowledge of shift processes and equipment
- Follow up on accuracy of information from shift plant floor
SHIFT SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITES
- Oversee shift production activities, supervision and adherence to company policy, procedures and corporate philosophy.
- Oversees shift schedules
- Shift training
- Follow up on accuracy of information from shift
- With Plant Manager and appropriate staff personnel, studies shift operations where standards are not being met to determine causes and applies corrective measure
- Organizes work for smooth shift operations. Arranges efficient and economical utilization of materials, improvement of methods and elimination of wasteful practices within shift
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- High School graduate and 3-5 years’ experience in design/supervision
- Strong technical skills (technical degree preferred)
- Communication skills, (written and verbal)
