We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Design Assistant to join our team. As a Landscape Design Assistant, you will play a dynamic role at the intersection of drafting, sales support, and process improvement. Your primary responsibilities include drafting design plans, providing sales support through compelling visualizations, and demonstrating flexibility in undertaking diverse tasks to enhance overall operational efficiency.

Design Assistant Responsibilities

Drafting and Rendering:

· Utilize drafting software and tools to create detailed landscape design plans.

· Collaborate with design teams to ensure accurate and visually appealing representations of project concepts.

· Maintain organized documentation of design drafts for reference and future modifications.

Sales Support:

· Produce high-quality renderings tailored for sales presentations, effectively communicating design concepts to potential clients.

· Work closely with the sales team to customize visual materials that resonate with client preferences.

· Participate in client meetings to present designs and address inquiries, contributing to successful project acquisitions.

· Learn and aid in permitting process and create protocols for future use.

Flexibility and Process Improvement:

· Demonstrate adaptability in undertaking various tasks, ensuring timely completion of projects and operational needs.

· Identify opportunities for process improvement within the landscape design and sales workflows.

Preferred Skills:

· Previous experience in a design-related role or internship is a plus.

· Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, SketchUp, LandFX, Rhino, Lumion or similar.

· Strong visual and graphic design skills, including sketching and rendering abilities.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.

· Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.

· Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.

· Knowledge of materials, finishes, and furnishings preferred.

· A passion for design and a desire to learn and grow in the field.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 50 per week
