Full time; Cooper Clinic. Come be part of Cooper Clinic's dynamic dermatology team that provides both cosmetic and preventive dermatology. The ideal candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, be able to multi-task, have strong attention to detail and provide superior customer service.
Hours: Monday - Thursday, 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. and Friday 7:30 am - 3:00 pm. Some overtime may be required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assists dermatologists with patient examinations in preventive, general, cosmetic and vein patient exams, consultations and treatments and completes required paperwork for these treatments
- Educates patients on dermatology recommendations, medications and procedures
- Communicates results to patients via phone and/or by email
- Obtains prescription prior authorizations for patients
- Cleans and replenishes exam rooms throughout the day as needed
- Stocks and maintains assigned exam room(s)
- Attends and participates in scheduled departmental meetings
- Performs ordering of supplies, to include medical products
- Reports Melanoma to the state registry
- Dermatological procedures and post-op care
- Assists physicians with special projects.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or Medical Assistant (MA)
- Dermatology, Plastic Surgery and/or Aesthetics experience (preferred)
- Computer proficiency (EHR)
- Excellent bedside manner
- Commitment to medical teamwork
