This position is responsible for directing and overseeing the provision of administrative services to the Corrections Department.
- Participates in the overall management and operation of the prison; assumes responsibility for the operation of the prison in the absence of the Warden and Deputy Warden of Security.
- Oversees the operation and maintenance of business office functions, including Property Control, the Inmate Store, the Trust/Commissary, and accounting receivables and payables.
- Oversees and conducts inspections, searches, investigations, and evaluations; monitors, inspects, and audits institutional operations and activities for compliance with policies within Administration/Care and Treatment duties.
- Directs administrative operations through subordinates; directs, manages, and supervises in assigned areas to ensure the provision of effective and efficient services in accordance with established guidelines.
- Administers personnel functions including transactions, benefits, worker's compensation, and new applicants for employment within Administration/Care and Treatment duties.
- Oversees the maintenance, repair, and construction operations of the facility.
- Ensures that food is prepared within applicable budgetary guidelines and in accordance with the master menu.
- Oversees operations and procedures for the telecommunications and computer systems of the institution.
- Develops, revises, implements, maintains, interprets, explains, and clarifies pertinent rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and plans in areas of assigned responsibility.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
