Northwestern State University is currently seeking applications for the position of Deputy Title IX Coordinator. Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled.
Department: The Student Experience
This is a 40-hour per week (full-time) position. Confidentiality is a priority. The Deputy Title IX Coordinator will assist in all areas of the Title IX Office. This will consist of intake interviews, transcribing interviews, sending, and receiving correspondence, processing case information in accordance with federal regulations, keeping up-to-date digital and paper files, participating in TIX hearings, acting as a TIX Advisor or Investigator (after training), presenting information to students and/or faculty and staff members. The Deputy TIXC will work with Campus Living Villages, Northwestern State University Police Department, Natchitoches Police Department, and other offices as needed. Other duties as assigned by the Title IX Coordinator.
The Deputy Title IX Coordinator reports directly to the Director of Student Advocacy/Title IX Coordinator.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred. Work experience in the Criminal Justice System, Counseling, Non- Profit Resource Centers, and other related areas may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work face-to-face with students.
  • Proficient computer skills are required including all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Learn/utilize NSU databases including Maxient, NSU Connect, and Banner.
  • Ability to interview and secure professional speakers.
  • Ability to speak to groups.
  • Willingness to work occasional evening or weekend shift. (Usually about two hours.)
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Willingness and ability to train in all areas of Title IX.

Job Concepts
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of Title IX information.

  • Complete Maxient training.
  • Update all case documentation.
  • Upload case information into Maxient in a timely manner.
  • Send and receive correspondence regarding Title IX cases per Federal Regulations.
  • Place No-Contact Directives as needed.
  • Investigate cases as assigned by the Title IX Coordinator.
  • Act as an Advisor for Title IX Student Cases as assigned by the Title IX Coordinator.
  • Communicate with Northwestern State University Police Department or Natchitoches Police Department, as well as outside support service offices as needed.
  • Act with Title IX authority in the absence of the Title IX Coordinator as needed.
  • Create presentations and/or set up display tables for training and events.
  • Present training materials to students as needed.
  • Secure professional presenters.
  • Work evenings occasionally when a programming event is scheduled.
  • Order catering through Sodexo Food Services.
  • Utilize Banner Financial System.
  • Assist with Budgeting.
  • Utilize NSU Connect.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Title IX Coordinator.
