Job Summary:
The Deputy Program Manager leads the training, logistics, and technical writing teams, and supporting the Program Manager on complex, IT modernization effort required to rebuild or replace data center security stacks to support the Air Forces' Component Enterprise Data Centers (CEDC) and Management Systems and provide the design for the Next Generation Gateway (NGG).
Travel is required up to 25%
Job Responsibilities:
Manage a team that creates training curriculum and technical orders, and trains Air Force teams responsible for maintaining NGG hardware and software
Lead the asset management team.
Ensure the proper scheduling of staff and tasks to meet project schedules.
Maintain deliverable oversight (progress against schedule, compliance with requirements, quality, etc.)
Perform financial management.
Responsible for the coordination and management of suppliers
Responsible for the identification and mitigation of project risks
Customer relationship management
Reporting to internal company leadership
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of overall IT-oriented experience
Minimum 3 years of project management experience
Management of at least one hardware refresh or implementation project
Good working user-level knowledge of Microsoft Office products, to include Project and SharePoint
Active Secret clearance
Ability to work in military-oriented business/technical environment
Ability to manage multiple objectives concurrently
Strong communication skills, both oral and writing
Positive attitude/team player
Travel up to 25%
Desired Qualifications:
PMI PMP certification
BS/BA degree in IT-related field
Experience working in a DoD environment.
Experience developing complex MS Project schedules.
