The Jefferson County Clerk’s Office is hiring a Deputy Clerk – Financial. This is a full-time (35 hours per week) position.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Processing invoices and bills to prepare payments;
- Processing daily deposits;
- Daily interface with all departments, including the Treasurer's Office;
- Preparing auditors warrant to remit revenues to taxing districts;
- Preparing financial and remittance reports;
- Receives and audits cash reports and disburses to state offices;
- Reconciles and maintains computerized account balances;
- Maintains applicable IRS requirements; and
- Assists with budget formulation and set up.
Qualifications
High School or GED equivalency; Training or coursework in accounting, bookkeeping, or related field; Three to five years accounting or bookkeeping experience

Pay: From $21.81 per hour
