We are currently seeking a qualified candidate to join our staff as a Deposit Operations Specialist. This is an excellent opportunity to learn and succeed while working within a fast paced, community bank Deposit Operations department. This is not a remote position.

Daily Duties of Deposit Operations Specialist:

Job function: Funds Transfer

Performance Standards:

· Process outgoing wires (timely) from online banking platform as received through TMS (online platforms). Verify available funds and OFAC before submitting.

· Input all manual wire transfer requests into core system (timely as received), verifying available funds, authorized requestor, and OFAC before posting. Attention to detail is key.

· Input all Foreign wires within Corpay or Comerica platforms. Send settlement wires and any additional back up information requested.

· Process all incoming wire transfers, verifying OFAC before posting.

· Ensure accurate balancing of all incoming and outgoing wire transfers.

Maintain (Scan and Index) all outgoing wire transfer request into Document Imaging system for record retention.

Job function: Exception Item Processing

· Ensure timely processing of all exception items accurately and within timeframes specified by policies and procedures. ( NSF, Stop payments, Chargebacks, Positive Pay violations, ACH filter exceptions, Large Item notifications). (Reg CC)

· Maintain ACH filters on core system to prevent unauthorized transaction.

Job function: Reconcilements

· Work with Finance to reconcile all GL accounts daily.

· Ensure timely clearing of all outages.

· Primary Reconcilements include: Zelle, Fed, Comerica, and ATM

Job function: ACH file processing

· Ensure accurate and timely transmission of ACH files.

· Maintain ACH Company parameters on core system to monitor risk and ensure client files are within their approved daily limit.

Review incoming and outgoing files for OFAC

Job function: Adjustment and Disputes

· Process all chargebacks, send notice to customers.

· Ensure timely research, response and resolution to disputes to ensure regulatory compliance.

· Promptly and accurately makes adjustments to cash letters avoid Bank losses.

Promptly research and submit Debit Card/ATM disputes. Promptly post provisional credit and submit “provisional credit letter notification to customer.

Requirements:

• Requires a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in a financial institution.
• Minimum 2 years prior experience at a financial institution in a Deposit Operations function.
• Proficient knowledge of the rules and regulations, including but not limited to, NACHA Rules and Visa Rules.
• Strong interpersonal, communication (written and verbal), and organizational skills with the ability to work independently, as well as, collaboratively within a team environment.
• Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management, legal counsel, law enforcement, regulators and examiners while maintaining strict confidentiality.
• Strong decision making, analytical and investigative abilities with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Must have sound writing skills and be able to translate complex situations into easily understood narratives.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
