Deposit Operations Specialist

In full compliance with applicable state and federal laws and regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures, the Deposit Operations Specialist is responsible for the processing functions as defined by Member Support Services. All employees are also expected to meet a high level of customer service to internal/external customers by:

· Providing professional, prompt, accurate and efficient responses to email or other communication requests from internal/external customers/ members

· Promptly researching and resolving inquiries and problems as they arise

• Acts as main point of contact for liaisons and branch staff to research and resolve ACH and Instant Payment inquiries/problems. Assists with monitoring and maintaining risk and exposure limits for ACH and Instant Payment originators. Assists with monthly reporting of activity trends and other applicable metrics used to monitor/measure overall performance. Maintains knowledge of NACHA guidelines, ACH rules and Regulation E as applicable to ACH and Instant Payment errors.

Deposit Operations:

· Support File and Support processing handling transactions if needed

· Process monthly IRA RMDs for members

· Process manual payrolls

· Assist with remote deposit capture processing transactions as required

· Complete Return Deposit items and create letters

· Process Escheating

• Assist in completing month end reports
• Print daily letters

Additional Requirements:

This role involves performing a range of duties related to deposit accounts, transactions, and member service to ensure efficient and accurate operations while working alongside an offshore team and servicing backup for functions performed by the offshore team.

· Maintains a high level of awareness in areas of regulatory compliance, loss prevention, security matters, and adherence to the credit union/MSS policies and procedures

· Monitoring and addressing fraudulent or suspicious activity related to deposit accounts

• Act as the Operational contact for credit union partners to support the credit union strategic direction
• Maintain knowledge of and adheres to operational controls, including applicable laws, rules and regulations impacting ACH and Instant Payment services and policies such as the Bank Secrecy Act, Office of Foreign Assets Controls, NACHA Rules, Regulation E and Universal Commercial Code to ensure the safety and soundness of the credit union partners.

· Contributing to process improvement initiatives to streamline Deposit Operations and enhance member experience

• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

· Have a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel as well as other applicable software

· Be self-motivated and capable of working in a fast-paced, high-volume, multi-tenant environment

· Have a thorough knowledge of credit union products and services

· Possess effective communication and interpersonal skills

Work the days and hours assigned and be available to communicate with employees, members, manager, and other persons with whom interaction is required to accomplish tasks

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,426.00 - $53,656.00 per year
